The PTO is a great place to volunteer your time AND get to know other Dreher High School Blue Devil families! There are lots of ways to get plugged in — from a one-and-done event to ongoing positions, we can put you to work and enable you to succeed! Whether you can give 1 hour or 1 day, the PTO and Dreher High School needs you.

Volunteer Requirements (2024-2025)
Richland One requires that you obtain an approved volunteer status prior to either of the following circumstances:

Volunteering to chaperone any field trip

Volunteering at the school in any capacity
Please follow the steps below to become an approved volunteer.

Complete the application at this link.
Upon approval, you will receive an email from the district volunteer coordinator, David Jackson. Your approved status will remain in effect for 3 years. If it has been 3 years since you were last approved, you must reapply following these steps.
Ongoing Opportunities

Decorations: help decorate the school's entryway and hallways for special events and holidays.

Workroom: make copies, laminate, etc. at school. Commit to a two-hour shift one Wednesday morning/month.

Merchandise: help fill merchandise orders placed online and assist with merchandise sales at events.

Campus Beautification: help revitalize the courtyards and planters. Possible weekend workdays.

DareDevils: Coordinate with administration and staff to collect nominations for recognize students for Excellence Awards for both the fall and spring semesters. DareDevils honors students for perseverance, going above and beyond, and showing good character traits. The committee chairperson will help schedule the award ceremony, coordinate photography, prepare award certificates, and send invitations to parents to attend the ceremony.

PDA (Post Dreher Advancement): Assistance with military/college/trade questions, college essay tutoring, college application assistance

School Tours: give tours of our school to prospective new families. Training is provided.

Assist with PTO website, newsletter, and/or social media

Fall Fundraiser: help organize and distribute the items ordered. This is a one-day commitment in October (exact date TBD)

Dreher Halloween Carnival: help plan and set up our annual Halloween carnival in October

Christmas Gift Wrap fundraiser

Christmas Teacher Appreciation

VIP Day: serve as a greeter/guide to help VIPs get to respective areas
